I was inspired by one of my favorite bloggers, Erin Little, to share a photo from my childhood Christmas. A “throw back” if you will.
One of the reasons I am passionate about documenting families in their own homes is because of photos like the one above. I find great delight to look back at old PRINTS (that I can physically touch and bring close to my face and not be looking at a screen) from my childhood. Nostalgia in the details:
- The Christmas tree my dad cut down from the woods while hunting (he refused to ever buy a tree). We always called them our Charlie Brown trees.
- My stocking!
- The big gift every year–this year was the bouncy horse. How many of you had one of those?! Popular back then. Dangerous now.
- My footie pajamas
- The style of my hair and how small I looked
Looking at this old photo brings back the memories. What are some of your favorite holiday memories?
