Photography is nothing – it’s life that interests me. Henri Cartier-Bresson
A few days ago I read the quote above by one of the greatest photojournalists in history and it resonated with me. People and the quiet details of their lives are what get me excited about photography.
MaryLindsay and her husband, Graham, live in a nifty old German-made house just outside of Nashville. They share this home with another couple, but recently bought some land to start a farm of their own in the near future. MaryLindsay and Graham are intriguing and inspiring. In pursuit of self-sufficiency they have rabbits, chickens, funny runner ducks, a garden in the summer, and make their own bread and cheese. There is so much more to these kind people (like banjo-playing!) but I will let the photos do the rest of the talking. I am excited to continue to learn from them, as our family also pursues some homesteading of our own!
