nashville documentary photographer | 10 on 10 January

2014. A new year and a new project. (And a new look to my site, if you’ve been here before.)

When this photographer from Alaska asked me to be a part of a new group project, called 10 on 10, I jumped right in. I’ve never done a yearly photography assignment before so I am excited to begin this journey.  Our 10 on 10 is a handful of photographers who take 10 photos to tell a story and post them on the 10th of that month. We each link to the next person’s blog to follow along in a circle. I view this as accountability to practice, practice, practice, and also a reminder to be freely creative in my personal work.

Here we go:

January. We spent the first few days of it with my mom in New York. These photos were take there, at my mom’s house where inside is warm and cozy and outside it’s cold and snowy… and perfect conditions for little (and big) boy play.

Be sure to head over to Elise Calabretta‘s work next and travel through our circle!
