east nashville photographer | high chair lunch

alana rasbach family and child documentary photographer nashville, tn

I was sitting at the computer in front of him, while he was eating his lunch. I turned around and saw him perched on the side of it, like he does all the time now, and I knew I had to photograph it. I wanted to get all of the details…

This high chair was my mom’s. Then my sister used it, I used it, my nephew used it, and now our boys.

He has been standing up in the high chair for a while, but recently he added this side perch to his repertoire.

His pudgy toddler fingers grasping his sippy cup.

He’s got a Jimmy Giraffe stamp from the library on his hand.

The Titan’s shirt was a hand-me-down from his older brother.

His face. Hair. Apples. Crumbs.

This corner of our house that will soon be someone else’s corner.

All of these details in one simple photo; this is why I love photography.
